This was a great place for breakfast and to rest while exploring around the place. I liked how inviting everyone is and the old style coffee shop atmosphere. The morning set was nice and basic and not to overpowering. The salad that came with it was delicious. The staff were very kind and even spoke English to me as well as gave an English menu which was sweet of them.

A ambience was with nice coffee and simple butter on toast with salad for breakfast.The ambience was really great and the waitress was really lovely too :) Having a pot of coffee could have helped more to get extra coffee :) It was! The coffee was good and the toast was good. I think it would be better if there was a coffee pot that could replace the coffee. English was also very good!

If you are a fan of tranditional Japanese style then this is your place. It is one of the oldest coffee places in Matsumoto. They play classical music, which for me was a great thing. I also really liked the decoration, with all the wooden furnishings.

Unfortunately the coffee wasn't taste of mine, but loved the atmosphere here! With classical music and books, perfect for reading a book.

I went to tea after seeing Matsumoto castle. Appearance looks like refurbished warehouse. The inside of the store is antique, and the flow is classic. The place where the activity of Saito Kinen Orchestra is exaggerated. I was able to spend a relaxing time for a while for classic lovers. Coffee and cake were delicious, too.

Coffee Marumo is worthwhile simply to see the interior filled with Matsumoto Mingei furniture. The breakfast toast set with coffee is nothing special and the Marumo blend is quite sour but I'll keep coming back for the ambiance.
